Through evidence-based practice, holistic nursing care, and the nursing process approach, the Nursing Foundation Department seeks to educate qualified novice nurses with the knowledge and competencies necessary to achieve the fundamental core values of the nursing profession.

Mission

  • Gaining knowledge of the concepts of health, illness, and the role of nursing in the delivery of health care services.
  •  Use excellent communication techniques to create relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Use nursing processes to competently provide healthcare to those who are ill or in good health.
  • Use critical thinking when making clinical decisions;
  • Include notions of compassion in nursing practice across a range of healthcare settings.
  • Ensures the essential concepts and methods of biomedical waste management and infection control.
  • Develop the core abilities to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process approach. 
  • Perform an in-depth assessment of patient requirements and provide emergency treatment as needed
